Looking at how we make culture and how culture makes us - expanding awareness by assuming hybrid, creole, mestiza complications to history, body, culture, improvisation, feeling, thinking, visioning, making.

Using talk & tasks ideas will be proposed, used, responded to, rejected, defended, shifted. What is contemporary dance? And what is it good for? What is trendy, inspiring, useful, new, old, bullshit, difficult, exhausting, inspiring, engaging? Sharing lessons from an award-winning choreographic practice that wanders between socially-engaged Cali queer ritualist & experimental avant-garde NY/Euro conceptualist.
Sundays, 11am-2pm, $10 or $25 for the series.
